Robert Owen Parlee is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist whose music journey began as a teenager in Pasadena, California. Early success led to a deal with Pasha/CBS Records and a role as lead vocalist in the band Isle of Man, produced by Spencer Proffer. Performing under the studio alias “Robere Parlez,” the band’s album reached the Billboard Hot 200, with videos airing on MTV and MTV2 and singles charting in the mid-’80s.He later signed with Curb Records as a member of Lonesome Romeos, releasing two albums and stepping into the lead vocal role on Seven Years in Bed. His career also included film soundtrack work for Teen Wolf Too, Major League, and Wedding Bell Blues, along with years of collaborative projects, live performances, and studio work.Now based in the mountains of Northern California, Robert continues creating original music with his wife, Julie, from their home studio. His album Stealing Every Moment features songs written across decades and recorded in Nashville with producer Travis Allen. Music runs in the family—his son Alexander Parlee performs as Parlor and with Alexander Parlee & The Ellipses.
