Austin, Texas native Nick Sturms’ musical journey has walked the line between red dirt grit and Nashville sensibility, a road that is surely leading to a long and successful career.By the age of sixteen Nick had landed a songwriting contract and was touring the country playing lead guitar for several different national acts. By the age of twenty Nick had numerous songs recorded across several different genres including Russell Hitchcock’s (Air Supply) final single, “Hold Me Like You Love Me” (w/ John Ozier). Throughout his early twenties, Sturms continually toured, playing lead guitar, singing harmony and writing songs for several of country music’s top artists (including “Last Train to Memphis” w/ Jared Ashey & Jeremy McColmb). 48 states, 3 countries and thousands of shows under his belt, at age twenty five Sturms decided it was his time to take center stage and sing his own songs. Last year Nick took his band on the road and performed from coast to coast, playing clubs, festivals, and a country cruise, opening for such acts as Chris Young, Dierks Bentley, Eric Paslay, Jon Pardi, Lee Brice, Big n Rich, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban and others.Currently at twenty six years old, the two most recent highlights include a standing ovation at the Ryman Auditorium and “Hearts I Leave Behind” (a song he co-wrote w/ Travis Meadows) climbing to #1 on both the iTunes country chart and Billboard country chart. A song recorded by The Pete Scobell Band featuring Wynonna Judd, as a tribute American Sniper Chris Kyle.Nick Sturms recently finished recording his debut full length album with renowned Nashville producer Marshall Altman. An album that mostly features songs Nick himself wrote with his writer friends in Nashville. His debut single “Amen” is currently tearing up The Highway Sirius XM and other stations across the country.
