Lauren Jenkins | OohYeah
Don’t let the age fool you. In her few short years, Big Machine Recording artist Lauren Jenkins’ life has spun like a gritty country vinyl, chock-full of smoke-filled bars, fake IDs and miles on the road. That life could get lonely, but for this Texas born, Carolina raised singer/songwriter; Music has always been her constant road companion. By 17, she was making regular trips to New York City, before making the move official. Burning the late night oil, Jenkins would showcase her new music at the legendary New York clubs, The Bitter End, The Living Room and anywhere that gave her a mic to sing. Some of her songs made their way into the hands of Scott Borchetta and his Big Machine Label Group (Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw). With a call, a flight and dinner, Big Machine knew they wanted to be to be a rider on her musical voyage and offered her a record deal on Big Machine.Released in late 2016, “Jenkins' new EP” the Nashville Sessions “is a testament to the ability to further break down those genre barriers in cool, exciting new ways.” “Penning four of the six tracks, Lauren showcases unfiltered lyrics through alluring vocals, creating a fusion of soulful vibrancy. The glamorous songstress blends her traditional Country roots with Americana influences to seamlessly transition between cheerful melodies one moment and expressions of raw emotion the next.”With a 2018 Big Machine debut album to be released, Jenkins will be found where she is comfortable, on the road and on a stage.
