Poet Sidney Lanier wrote that music is simply love in search of a word. Kyla Jade, a fresh dynamic songstress allows her love for God to form a unique expression of Gospel music. Residing in Nashville TN by way of Kansas, Kyla Jade is already easily recognizable. You have seen her every Sunday morning on B.E.T with Dr. Bobby Jones and the Nashville Super Choir as one of his most versatile soloist. She is also the Minister of Music at Cathedral of Praise COGIC under the direction of the Honorable Bishop Jerry L. Maynard.Whether it was a studio session or live work, Kyla Jade's professional experiences have included singing background for artists such as Kim Burrell, Aretha Franklin, Beverly Crawford, Patti LaBelle, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Vashawn Mitchell , Ricky Dillard, Dr. Judith Christie-McAllister, The Clark Sisters, Timothy Wright and many others. She has recently toured with Wynonna Judd (country artist) as well as headlining her own Classical Jazz cover tour in Europe this past winter. Kyla Jade has also performed background vocals on the Country Music Awards, Stellar Awards, Dove Awards, and 2009 & 2010 Celebration of Gospel with Ambassador Dr. Bobby Jones. In 2012, Kyla Jade established LoveJade Inc and for the past 2 years under this umbrella she has produced live shows, arranged and produced vocals for many Nashville and surrounding artists. If you were to ask Kyla Jade what genre of music is her favorite she would say without hesitation that “Gospel is the only story I will tell, I just do it with a little Jazz and Soul embellishment”.
