Tracking, Delivery Updates, and Proof of Shipment
Use carrier tracking, keep shipping records, and communicate clearly with buyers from drop-off through delivery.
Tracking and clear communication help both buyers and sellers follow an order from shipment through delivery.
Keep Proof of Shipment
Creating a shipping label means the shipment has been prepared. It does not confirm that the carrier has accepted the package. When you hand off an order, keep the drop-off receipt or other carrier record, then watch for the first carrier acceptance scan.
Share Tracking Promptly
Provide the buyer with the correct carrier and tracking number after the package has been handed to the carrier. Keep order-related communication on OohYeah so there is a clear record of the shipment and any updates.
Monitor the Shipment
- Check tracking after drop-off to confirm the carrier has accepted the package.
- Let the buyer know if tracking shows a meaningful delay or delivery issue.
- Respond to reasonable buyer questions with the information you have.
- Keep your shipping receipt, tracking history, listing details, and relevant package photos until the transaction is complete.
If There Is a Delivery Problem
Review the carrier’s tracking history first. If the carrier reports a delay, damage, loss, or delivery exception, follow its current process for that shipment. Keep the buyer informed through OohYeah. If an order issue cannot be resolved between buyer and seller, contact OohYeah Support for assistance.
