Staying Safe When Buying and Selling
Learn how to protect yourself when buying or selling on OohYeah by keeping payments, messages, and order details on the platform.
OohYeah Marketplace purchases are processed through PayPal Goods and Services. Keeping payment, messages, and order details on OohYeah helps buyers and sellers maintain a clear record of the transaction.
For Buyers
- Review the listing photos, description, condition, price, shipping details, and return policy before checkout.
- Ask the seller questions through OohYeah if anything is unclear.
- Complete payment through OohYeah using PayPal or an eligible debit or credit card.
- Do not send payment by wire transfer, gift card, cryptocurrency, cash app, or PayPal Friends and Family for an OohYeah purchase.
- Keep all messages and order details on OohYeah until the transaction is complete.
For Sellers
- Use accurate photos, descriptions, pricing, shipping details, and return policies.
- Only ship after confirming the order and payment through OohYeah and your PayPal account.
- Do not rely on an email, screenshot, or message claiming that a payment was sent.
- Do not accept an overpayment and send money back to a buyer.
- Use tracking when available and keep shipping receipts and order documentation.
Protect Your Account
Never share your password, verification code, full payment details, or other sensitive account information with another user. Be cautious of urgent messages, unexpected links, fake invoices, and messages that claim there is a problem with your account.
When you need to check your PayPal account, log in directly through PayPal instead of using a link in an unexpected email or message.
If Something Seems Suspicious
Stop the transaction and keep any relevant messages, screenshots, order details, and tracking information. Contact OohYeah Support if you need help with an order, listing, payment, or account concern.
If you believe your PayPal account or transaction has been compromised, report it directly to PayPal. PayPal also provides current guidance on common scams, fake emails and phishing, and reporting unauthorized activity.
