Levert got his start in 1985 founding the trio LeVert. The successful group recorded five #1 singles, seven Top 10 singles, and four Top 20 singles on Billboard’s R&B chart. The group’s last album, Whole Scenario was released in 1997. Levert has released nine solo albums since his 1991 solo debut Private Line, whose title track reached #1 on Billboard’s R&B chart.
