Born and raised in the city of Hawthorne​, he has lived most of his life in Southern California​. [2]​ He had mostly a Chicano​ upbringing and by the the age of 8 years-old, he started getting into music. As a way to engage with his shyness, music became his source of expression. At 8 years old, he picked up guitar, later moving on to keys, drums, bass, French horn and trumpet.
