Burrito Brothers | OohYeah
Celebrating an illustrious past while serving up fresh contributions for a bright future. The Burrito Brothers are all long-term “Cosmic American Music” veterans who’ve climbed the branches of the “many tall pines” first planted in 1968. These guys are world-class musicians and songwriters who’ve shared the stage or recorded with legends including: Bobby Bare, Ringo Starr, Vince Gill, Chris Hillman, Willie Nelson, Roger Miller, Kitty Wells and Johnnie Wright, Roy Acuff, George Jones, Waylon Jennings, Buck Owens, Johnny Cash, Marty Stuart... you get the idea. Carrying on the tradition of classic late-1960s , expanding its boundaries, always exploring new horizons. The Burrito Brothers’ ( CHRIS P JAMES, TONY PAOLETTA, JOHN STURDIVANT JR., BOB HATTER, LARRY MARRS) are creative, cosmically tuned-in musicians who look through unusual windows with a legendary legacy that is 100% alive and kickin’. Their latest endeavor, “Still Going Strong”, bridges from past to future, paying homage to the roots while taking an explorational musical journey. Certainly, it brings to the listener an audible vacation to a new place while having a sense of home for those familiar with the group. The opening track, “Between Your Hands and Mine” (penned by Gram Parsons and Chris James), is a testament to the bridge and the group’s longevity. All the tracks are brand new songs composed by Burritos, past and present, with the exception of the Johnnie and Jack classic, “Just When I Needed You”.
