Bryan Austin began his journey in music playing in the bars and honkytonks of South Mississippi. Influenced at an early age by the likes of Johnny Cash and Elvis Presley. Bryan knew from the time he could sing along to their records that he wanted to be a musician. At the age of 12, he got his first chance by landing a job in his uncles band playing saxophone. Bryan soon became interested in the guitar. Listening to everyone from Steve Wariner to Kiss, he slowly but surely honed his skills and by the time he turned 17, he became one of the Mississippi coast’s most sought after singer/guitarist. While playing at a local nightclub called “Michael’s”, Bryan was discovered by New York manager Diane Gibson, mom of pop sensation Debbie Gibson. Gibson soon secured Bryan a recording contract with Liberty/Patriot Records. Known for headlining artist as Garth Brooks, Billy Dean, John Berry and others. Keith Stegall was tapped to produce Bryan’s freshman album. After two releases, including the single “Radioactive” which received critical acclaim and a respectable climb on the charts, the label imploded and dissolved. Bryan continued to pursue his main passion of playing guitar, touring with such artist as Steve Wariner, Trick Pony, Josh Turner and more recently Clint Black. In 1996 Bryan was nominated for a Grammy for his contribution to the guitar instrumental “The Brickyard Boogie” from Steve Wariner’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy album. Bryan’s passion for music continues from Nashville as he pursues opportunities in producing, writing and now recording. In 2012, Bryan built his own home studio called “Voodoo Groove Studio”. Working with writers and artist to bring life to their songs has become a fulfilling and rewarding opportunity. Bryan’s expertise, experience and business connections all contribute to the success that the studio is currently experiencing. Bryan also continues to write songs as well. Collaborating with such legendary writers as Kent Blazy, Steve Wariner, and Hayden Nicholas. As Bryan prepares for a new 2015 national tour with Clint Black, he continues to keep everything in focus. “The key to being successful in Nashville, is to continue to evolve.
