Brady Seals | OohYeah

Singer, songwriter, and artist Brady Seals has a strong background for success. You could say that music is “in his blood,” as he is related to several industry heavyweights, including Jimmy Seals (Seals & Crofts), Dan Seals (England Dan & John Ford Coley), and country songwriters Troy Seals (Songwriting Hall of Fame Member) and Chuck Seals. Over his career, Brady Seals has sold over 11 million albums, topped three genres at once, and his songs continue to captivate audiences and secure licenses for TV, radio, and film.A touring musician since he was 16, Brady Seals is perhaps best known for his time in Little Texas (Warner Bros.). During his six years as keyboardist and co-lead singer with the multiplatinum group, they were voted the ACM’s "Vocal Group of the Year" and received two Grammy nominations. Little Texas celebrated three consecutive number-one hits with “What Might Have Been,” “God Blessed Texas,” and “My Love,” all co-written by Seals, earning him the ASCAP “Triple Play Award.”In 1996, Seals launched a solo career, working with legendary Rodney Crowell to co-produce his Warner Bros. album, The Truth. It features a duet, “Another You, Another Me,” with Wynonna Judd, which sold over 100,000 singles. A self-titled CD followed in 1998, with guest appearances from Vince Gill, Ricky Skaggs, Timothy B. Schmidt (The Eagles), Bela Fleck, and Max Carl (.38 Special). Between 1999 and 2001, Seals explored the pop/rock genre, engineering, producing, and writing the album Thompson Street, collaborating with pop innovator Andy Sturmer (Jellyfish). In 2002, Seals formed Hot Apple Pie (DreamWorks). Made up of outstanding musicians, the band was dubbed “Music City’s Super Group” by the music industry. Their self-titled debut was released in 2005 and featured country legend Willie Nelson. The band quickly made history as the highest-selling debut country group in the Neilson SoundScan era. Their debut single, “Hillbillies Love It In The Hay,” reached the Top 20, and its video hit #1 on VH-1 Country and was among CMT’s “Top 20 Sexiest Videos.”Seals spent the next two years touring with Hot Apple Pie, playing large venues across North America and Canada. They performed at the Grand Ole Opry, major festivals like Summerfest, and opened for country giants Keith Urban and Tim McGraw. Fans eagerly bought tickets for their live shows, drawn by their incredible musicianship and Seals’ “Jagger-esque” stage presence. Hot Apple Pie gained respect from industry insiders and established acts because of their tight harmonies, skilled playing, and charismatic performances. In 2008, Seals released an independent solo CD called “Playtime,” featuring friends Richard Marx and Stan Lynch (Tom Petty And The Heartbreakers), and hit the road again. He spent two years performing at clubs, theaters, and other venues nationwide. In 2015, Seals and his friend and co-writer Gordon Kennedy launched the songwriter show called Music City Pickers LIVE! It featured artists like Ricky Skaggs, Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Richie McDonald (Lonestar), Peter Frampton, and many other hit makers. In 2016, Brady teamed up with Lua Crofts (daughter of Darrell "Dash" Crofts) to form Seals & Crofts 2. Audiences can now experience the music of the ’70s rock duo in a new way, hearing hits like “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” and “We May Never Pass This Way (Again),” reimagined with respect for the past. The project features many classic Seals & Crofts songs, along with new material from Seals & Crofts 2.That same year, Seals also took on another project, fronting a Tom Petty tribute band called The Petty Junkies. The group includes Nashville's top studio musicians and artists, all highly successful themselves, with over 300 hit songs written, played, sung, or produced by band members.
